TUAW reports that many of it’s forum users are experiencing problems since the upgrade of iPhone 3.1 update. This includes
I have to say that owning an iPhone 3GS and being a pretty, no….VERY heavy user of it, I have not seen any of the above symptoms. I’d hazard a guess that the bricked phones is probably related to people that have previously jail broken their phones and forgot and did the update. Poor Battery Life, well I’m not seeing anything worse than what I previously had on iPhone 3.0.1.
Random Shutdowns again is something that I haven’t yet experienced, hopefully this won’t happen, and the same for General Slowness.
This kinda makes me wonder whether these are mostly iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS customers….? Maybe the iPhone 3GS isn’t seeing the slowdowns due to the faster processor, and maybe random shutdowns also are just plaguing the 3G?
Anyone else experienced any problems? Leave me a comment!

I have the 3G (not jail broken) and so far since it updated it on the 26th I have had my wireless disconnect and had to reenter my pass code and had one complete shutdown where the phone turned off and the only way to get it back was holding down the top button for more than a minute. Plugging it in was even unresponsive. I’ve had it for over a year and never had a single problem it until now

From what I’ve seen it seems to be more 3G rather than 3GS customers experiencing most of the problems, although battery life some have confessed is happening on 3GS
Thankfully I haven’t had one power down or unresponsive session yet on the 3GS and I have a ton of apps and games installed.
