Better iPhone Battery usage?
There’s a number of ways you can improve your battery usage on the iPhone. I know it’s not practical for most to disable all wireless, switch your phone into airplane mode, or disable 3G but here’s a few other ways you can conserve battery power that you might not have thought about…
Upgrade your OS – to ensure your battery is being used optimally
Turn off WiFi – if you don’t need WiFi at that moment in time, disable it temporarily to conserve battery power
Turn off Bluetooth – if you don’t need to use a headset or speaker, then disable this temporarily
Turn off Location Services – there’s apps that will still try to talk out over 3G and WiFi that will consume battery power
Turn off Push Email – this can consume as much as 20% of your battery power some say
It might not be possible to do all of the above, or you may not want to keep playing with turning things on or off, but it could save you a little bit of battery power when you need it the most.
