Kensington iPhone GPS Cradle

Kensington have announced the release of their iPhone Car Cradle. Some sites/blogs are reporting it as the “Kensington iPhone GPS Cradle” which it is not. The cradles sole purpose is to amplify the sound out of the iPhone to make the sound louder whilst in-car. This cradle does not in anyway improve GPS performance/quality, so be careful when reading other news sites / blogs. Unfortunately too many blogs are jumping on the band wagon saying it’s a GPS cradle.

Kensington say “Give your iPhone GPS, podcasts, and phone calls a sound boost. The built-in amplification system in the cradle doubles the volume coming from your iPhone speaker, making it easier to hear your turn-by-turn directions, calls and more. The cradle mounts in seconds to the windshield or vent and holds your iPhone securely on even the roughest terrain.”
