The ARCHOS 5 Android Tablet has finally launched. The ARCHOS 5 Android Tablet specs are 800×480 4.8 inch screen, 800MHz OMAP3440 processor, 720p video and output over HDMI, capacity up to 500GB, 802.11n WiFi, etc. internet tablet for your liking.
Early reports on the ARCHOS 5 Android Tablet have been pretty positive, it’s definitely a better offering than your run-of-the-mill media tablet.
Personally I’ve purchased a lot of Archos products over the years and I’m always weary of Archos now because either their power charging circuits blow or their hard disks die. I really hope they’re hardware quality has improved. Most of the products I’ve had from Archos have never lasted a year or die just outside of the warranty period

Most important question what the battery like? how many hours video playback, internet browsing etc can it deliver.

I’m tempted to get one, but I just loathe Archos as the quality is always sub-standard. I’m not a NOKIA fan but I think I’d much rather buy a Nokia tablet than the Archos one. Android still really doesn’t appeal to me much. Now if Apple were to bring out a small tablet like this, I’d buy it in an instant!
