Vodafone to join the UK’s Top 2 for iPhone

In another twist Vodafone have announced that it will be joining Orange in offering the iPhone 3GS early in 2010 in the UK market. Although O2 have had an exclusivity contract with Apple, the exclusivity contract will end soon.

This opens the doors for other mobile operators to soon start selling iPhones and see the UK iPhone market potentially triple in size. Still no news yet from T-Mobile but with Orange and T-Mobile looking to merge, it probably won’t be long after the merger that T-Mobile will start offering iPhones, if not before.
