I’ve been a long time user of many versions of Pocket Informant, and it was great to see Pocket Informant come to the iPhone, but one thing seriously lacked… It wouldn’t work with the built-in calendar which for me was really useless seeing that I have MS Exchange on my iPhone.
I’ve seen many similar comments regarding this, and I should point out it’s not the fault of Pocket Informant, simply that Apple don’t permit it with third party apps.
Hats off to Alex @ WebIS because he’s done some spectacular things with Pocket Informant in the past, and I saw a tweet earlier from Alex regarding creating an iPhone version which works with Outlook Sync.
If this works, then I for one will be re-purchasing Pocket Informant from the iPhone. I just hope it’s not too onerous in terms of having to sync on the desktop with a client side desktop app.
