Google Wave for the iPhone?

Word is spreading about a client for Google Wave for the Mac called Waveboard, and rumor has it that the client is also being made for the iPhone and is currently awaiting approval. Google Wave currently works on Mobile Safari by navigating to wave.google.com/wave on your device, but the dedicated client is expected to make it operate smoother.

In case you’re not familiar, Google Wave is Google’s cutting-edge HTML5 web application intended to create a new level of on-line communication beyond instant message services and email clients. It is intended to make on-line communication and collaboration more streamlined and intuitive, allowing for things like threaded conversations, live text chatting and uploading, and future integration with other services. Best of all, it’s open source!
