Weather for iPhone

There’s a new HTC style Weather app for the iPhone called, simply…”Weather”. It has some really nice looking animation and although some of the App Store comments are less than favourable with mentions of crashes, I decided to purchase it and take a look.

The screens are really stunning and remind me exactly of the HTC weather applets on the HTC Touch Flo UI on Windows Mobile devices.

Weather uses the weather service of “Weather Underground”, and the weather seems about as accurate as you could get it (bearing in mind weather forecasts are never 100% accurate), but the application is a really nice well rounded, graphically pleasing application! What you can’t see in these still images are that the clouds actually move across the screen, and you also get rain drops appear on the screen when there’s chance of rain.

You can also add as many towns as you want in various countries!
