Navigon iPhone Cradle released – 39,95 €

In a bid to outshine TomTom and to try and pick up from a lot of the “TomTom Cradle is a rip off” pundits, Navigon have released their own iPhone Cradle.

Note though it’s just a cradle with suction arm, it comes with a car charger but it’s not integral into the cradle. Navigon are selling the cradle for 39,95 € on their website.

If all you want is a cradle that can rotate between portrait and landscape and don’t mind the massive arm permanently stuck to your windscreen then this might be an alternative cradle.

One note I would say is that I’ve used the Navigon PND’s with similar arm technology and they are really good at sticking to the windscreen. However, due to the length and position of the arm it does bring the device closer to you but you cannot twist the arm, it needs to be horizontal. Which unfortunately means you have no way of directing the arm towards you to face you more. It’s hard to tell but looking at the image of the cradle it looks very similar in design to their PND cradles.

Still if you’re looking for a cheap cradle with ratchet arms and that can change between Portrait and Landscape, you can usually pick these up for around £10 / 10 € at most online retailers.
