Ivyskin have announced the World’s first SmartCase featuring interchangeable integrated battery and Touch-Thru Glass Screen. It sends a signal to the iPhone to drain the case’s power first before using the iPhone’s battery. This advanced power distribution system, enables the iPhone to receive an additional 200% battery life. The SmartCase includes the SmartPac, Quattro-T4 and USB cable.
For iPhone users we’re all using our devices more each day and running lower on battery each day, so additional battery packs are a good thing, but the concern I have with most of the battery sleeves is that they add almost double depth to the iPhone. With the Ivy SmartCase it appears to add about 2.5 times the depth to the iPhone. Although I like the idea of these battery packs, I’m not sure I want to go back to a behemoth in my pocket.
Ivyskin say that the SmartCase is 100% compatible with the iPhone 3G and 3GS.
