Kindle app for iPhone/iPod Touch now available in over 60 countries

Amazon have finally bowed to pressure and released their Kindle app for the iPhone and iPod Touch outside of the USA. The Kindle app is now available for download in over 60 countries in the iTunes App Store. Until recently, the portable reader App was only available in North America.

The Kindle app features Amazon’s Whispersync technology, the Kindle App saves and synchronizes your bookmarks on all your Kindle devices and across multiple platforms, e.g. to the iPhone and iPod Touch including Kindle for PC.

The Kindle app is still only localized in English, so only English-speakers in the 60 plus countries will be able to use it at the moment. Translations should be added in future updates.

The Kindle app is available free in the iTunes App Store.
