We need something that will remind drivers when they have missed a stop. For example, if the driver is supposed to go to locations, A then B then C then D, but they go directly from A to C without going to B, we need something that will tell them that they have forgotten to go to location B. This type of error tends to occur now and then due to a lack of sleep, distractions by female elves/helpers who look like some of the cuties on your wallpapers, a combination of the two, or other factors.

Constant turn-by-turn directions from A to B to C to D etc are not necessary and would in fact be annoying since the drivers already know the locations and directions. It’s just that they occasionally forget to go to a particular destination on their routes and they need to receive a reminder when they get to the next destination after the one they have missed so they can go back to the missed location as soon as possible.

The initial missed location warning can be in the form of a voice prompt, a beep, flashing light or just about any other attention-getting mechanism, but a text message containing the street address or coordinates of the missed location would also be necessary. A map display isn’t necessary since the drivers already know the routes anyway.

The hardware/software solution can consist of a separate GPS unit connected to a PDA or PC or Sony PSP or smartphone or other processing/display device via bluetooth or USB or serial connection or a standalone GPS unit with built-in screen and voice synthesizer.
