I decided to try and detox early this Christmas so before Christmas I bought a Smoothie maker. I love fruit, but I always find that after 3 days of the fruit being out it all starts to go off and have never found a good way of storing fruit. Banana’s are the worst. So knowing I love fruit smoothies, I decided to buy a Kenwood 2Go Smoothie maker. The Kenwood 2Go comes with 2x Pint size jugs that you can also take with you if you want as they have separate leak proof lids, or you could just store one permanently in the fridge to keep it nice and cold.
So far so good, I’ve made a couple of smoothies a day for the past 10 days and I love every one of them, each with a slightly different concoction. I think the Banana, Cranberries, Apple Juice and Orange Juice is one of the nicer ones.
- Banana, Cranberries, Apples, Oranges
- Banana, Strawberries, Pineapple, Oranges
- Banana, Raspberries, Pinapple
- Banana, Pineapple
- Banana, Oranges
- Banana, Peach, Pineapple, Oranges
I’ve found that it’s best to freeze some of the fruit, like the Cranberries, Strawberries and Raspberries. It seems to keep the flavour more and also makes the Smoothie nice and cold. Another way is to add Ice to the Smoothie to make it cold, but I found frozen fruit seems to make it more colder
