Then my iPhone might not be of much use soon…
There’s a lot of rumours going around, some say it’s an 8″ tablet, some say it’s a 10″ tablet, some say it’s silver like the original iPhone, some say it’s black, some say it’s running Mac OS X, some say it’s running iPhone, some say it’s running a hybrid version of the iPhone/iPod OS, so what if the rumours are true?
Well if some of these rumours are true? If the iPad (or iTablet) will basically be a larger iPhone, running an iPhone like OS, possibly with SIM card for 3G usage outside of a WiFi hotspot, then I for one will most certainly splash out the cash for one.
I guess the big question is, will it be a good gaming device? If it’s an 8″ then quite possibly it will. If it’s a 10″ device then possibly not as it might be a little large to hold. One thing I can see is that some apps like TweetDeck, Facebook apps, Safari and more will look pretty nice on this kinda device no matter what the size is.
If the latest rumours are correc then it will basically be a larger flatter iPhone with 3G and GPS.
Coming soon to a blog and podcast on January 27th, feels like Christmas all over again…!

A really fascinating read about the Apple tablet which makes a lot of sense written by a very knowledgeable guy:

Not long now….We’ll either be very pleased, or very unpleased at the announcement. My guess is a bit of both with the amount of rumours that have been flying around.

interesting twitter feed from someone who claims to have one now… I thinks its BS, but if its not then it will be awesome (solar panel on back, 2 cameras, OLED screen, 2 thumbpads, fingerprint reader…)

Yeah I think it’s probably BS too. There’s lots of talk about possibility of solar panels on back, but why would they be on the back? Surely you’ll have to be laying on your back out in the park for it to charge. Likewise I’ve seen a lot of talk about cameras being removed from the tablet. I could see why if it’s going to be a 10″ device, do you really want to hole up something as large as an A4 pad to take a photo with? OLED screen would be nice but it will probably suck more battery power. Knowing Apple I doubt there will be any thumbpads although Apple usually try to wow us with features that we might not have thought about.

Jason’t twitter feed is interesting, he’s a fairly respectable guy (you’ve probably heard him before on the TWIT podcast) so i don’t know why he would make up this stuff… but then the specs aren’t really believable. odd.
anyway – 9 hours to go!

Can’t wait! It’s like ripping the corner off a Christmas present to avoid opening it but to try and find what’s under the wrapping paper
