Meebo has now been released for iPhone and iPod Touch and isn’t just any IM client. Meebo provides a distinct advantage over other IM clients on the iPhone providing you are willing to use their own notifier / desktop client instead of Microsoft’s or a third parties. When using Meebo’s own desktop client, you can synchronise your IM’s, so if you walk away from your desk and someone IM’s you it sends a push notification to your iPhone/iPod Touch too. If you don’t respond from your desk but you do from your iPhone/iPod Touch, then it realises you’re on this and starts sending the updated messages direct to your device. When you don’t respond, it starts pushing them back to your desktop.
With Meebo you will be able to join all your friends across the different chatting apps and contact them easily via this one common application on your. The app will allow you to use for chatting AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk, MySpace IM, ICQ, Jabber, Facebook, and other chat services, delivering new messages via push notifications.
Meebo contains three main areas, buddies, chat and account. Buddies show you a list of your contacts. Chats area keeps track of who you are keeping chat with and Accounts allow you to set and change status messages and toggle settings such as being visible.
