If you are finding you are constantly out of battery power on the iPhone or iPod Touch and want one of the many of portable battery chargers, then take a look at the Scosche SolBat II, which has recently launched.
This pocket-sized battery has a solar panel to charge your device from the sun. It can also charge from a USB cable, on cloudy days. Once it’s powered up, plug it to any device that works with a USB port to charge that device.
The SolBat II’s interface is pretty simple. A red light lets you know when it’s charging and a green light tells you it’s transferring that stored energy to a device. The lithium ion battery has a capacity of 1500mA and an output of 5V, so it charges at the same rate as a wall charger.
The SolBat II comes with a suction cup for sticking it to your car’s windshield and a chord for attaching it to your backpack.
The SolBat II is available now for $29.99.
