Looking at various peoples usage of the iPad already, it’s interesting to see how people use it. For instance…
“When I’m out of the house and on the run, I just bring my iPhone. When I’m going somewhere that I know I’ll be sitting for a while (restaurant, doctor’s office), I bring my iPad. Around the house, I mostly use my iPad, since I’m sitting down and reading books or browsing the internet. If I read a headline that I find interesting on my iPhone, I pull out my iPad to read the entire article. “
That leads me to a thought for iPhone OS 4.0, wouldn’t it be great if we could just be reading an article in one app, e.g. TweetDeck or NetNewsWire and then beam it from the iPhone to the iPad? There are already in-built technology into some apps using Instapaper or Read It Later to enable you to do this at a later time but not all apps have this ability, but a “let’s open it on a large screen device” over Bluetooth or WiFi would be a great addition for those that have both.
For those that want it on a much bigger screen, you could output to VGA using the VGA adapter (although unfortunately it only seems to currently output in picture slideshow or video mode at the moment).
I doubt somehow that Apple will introduce it, but maybe in a later OS they’ll provide some connectivity, or app providers might have their own starring system with online storage where you can read your favourite/starred posts like in Google Reader on any device then.
