After a full week of use out of the HTC Desire I’m really finding that if you leave the phone on charge and use it at the same time, very similar to other HTC devices the battery gets incredibly hot. Wondering if that’s why they Verizon decided to call it the Incredible?
It gets a lot hotter than the iPhone and I thought the iPhone at times when CPU usage was high and on charge got quite hot.
I having the devices/batteries get hot really can’t be good for the long life usage of the battery. I guess time will tell though!

It’s probably because the Desires CPU is faster than the Iphones… as well as the Ram. Infact its just as quick as the Ipad.

Thanks you’re probably right, the extra CPU cycles are probably draining the battery a lot more than the iPhone would due to the processor speed.

I have iGauge installed on my Desire.
I ran Google Maps for 3 hours with GPS on and charging through the car aux power port. The temp on the battery reached 52 degrees!!
Normal operating temp seems be around 30-34 deg.
