For those of you reading this that doesn’t know what Zinio is, its a magazine site that allows magazines to publish their magazines in a digital format and allow us (the consumer) to purchase them and read them on our computers. Zinio has been around for a number of years, and I usually subscribe to 12 month issues of my favorite magazines and view them on my PC. Recently Zinio also released an iPhone app which was great but viewing on a small screen wasn’t an overly great experience as you had to keep zooming in and out but, nevertheless it was still nice to have my magazines with me.
Now Zinio have released an iPad version of their app and I am very impressed, impressed to the point that i have now uninstalled Zinio on my PC because, simply i don’t need it now that I have it on my iPad.
Zinio provide some free magazines so you can check out their interface. The great thing about Zinio is it you can screenshot a page, crop it in your favorite cropping too, or Zinio have an option to copy the text out of the page, just in case you want to report on it.
