I woke up at the crack of dawn this morning (or sometime before then) so I could get out into the New Forest for 6am and go on a long walk. The beauty about the New Forest is that at 6am it’s light this time of year, the dew is still in the grass and there’s not a single person in sight. The New Forest gets rather busy because of how beautiful it is in the day, you see a lot of ramblers, campers and caravaners but at this time in the morning you can walk around without being disturbed by a single sole.
Mother nature likes to do the same too, whilst I was on my walks this morning I happened to come across a deer roaming, in fact it was walking directly towards me. Although I had taken my SLR with me, I really hadn’t been thinking about taking any long zoom photos today, so I only had my 18-55mm lens on my Canon EOS 500. However, I managed to get close enough to the deer without frightening it to get the following photo.
It seems I’m not the only one that likes to wake up early and go for walks in the forest!

Whilst out I was using Memory-Map for the iPhone to track where I was walking.
