Driving into London at 5am this morning I was receiving internet access fine on my iPhone and receiving regular traffic updates from CoPilot Live v8 until I hit Central London, at which point I noticed I wasn’t getting any connectivity.
I tried to launch GoWalla and it couldn’t find any local spots and complained too that it couldn’t access the internet.
After several restarts of both my iPhones, I get the error shown in the screenshot when trying to connect to O2′s data network in London.
Not good for a Monday morning…

I can’t get data connection either and I’m in Watford. I thought it was my phone perhaps. After a quick google search of ‘O2 data network down 14th June 2010′ it seems I’m not the only one as you have this problem too.

Strange thing was it was working whilst driving up the M3, but the closer I managed to get to London, that’s when I hit into the problem.
Hopefully O2 will bring the network back up soon…

Called O2 and they said there is a problem and to give it a couple of hours.

Was quite a long outage too, hopefully it’s not a regular occurrence, I don’t mind small outages but this was a long one.
